Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with shipbuilding or large-scale marine projects
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as SOLAS and IMO
  • Experience with operational readiness and SOP development
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, hospitality management, product development, or related field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in shipbuilding, ship revitalization, or large-scale marine projects
  • Proven expertise in detailed design coordination and outfitting
  • Leadership experience in complex cross-functional environments
  • Experience delivering high-impact physical products such as ships or hotel/resort activations
  • Experience communicating with or presenting to C-suite stakeholders
  • Knowledge of operational readiness principles including SOPs, GTM planning, procurement, and stakeholder communications
  • Proficient with tools like Asana, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and enterprise reporting platforms
  • Professional certifications in project management or process improvement (PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and goals
  • Establish communication channels across internal and external teams
  • Oversee cost planning including design reviews and mock-up inspections
  • Support technical back-of-house design phases ensuring brand and regulatory compliance
  • Manage outfitting activities on-site coordinating with designers and yard management
  • Conduct regular site visits monitoring build quality and safety
  • Lead inspections and resolve design and technical issues promptly
  • Track project progress against schedules and budgets ensuring quality and safety
  • Manage risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Lead and mentor site office teams fostering quality and collaboration
  • Coordinate with shipyard leadership and design managers for issue resolution
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery ensuring on-time and operationally sound launches
  • Lead readiness efforts including SOPs, staffing, training, and inventory planning
  • Proactively identify delivery barriers and manage risks with mitigation plans
  • Establish standardized launch playbooks and readiness templates
  • Validate completion and testing of physical and digital components
  • Conduct final operational readiness walk-throughs and punch list reviews
  • Lead post-launch closure and integration of learnings
  • Ensure launch readiness through finalized SOPs, training, and service protocols
  • Oversee crew enablement and punch list resolution
  • Support operational teams during vessel start-up and initial service phases
  • Lead kick-off for repairs and revitalizations when needed
