Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in nursing or associate degree in nursing with a bachelor degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years hospital experience as a registered nurse or other clinical professionals including respiratory therapist, licensed vocational nurse, medical technologist/clinical laboratory scientist, physical/occupational/speech therapist
  • Registered nurse licensed in state of Texas or compact or appropriate Texas state licensing agency
  • Appropriate certification/licensure
  • Experience in healthcare risk management preferred but training available
  • Proficiency in microsoft office tools
  • Ability to navigate electronic medical records
  • Ability and interest to learn multiple computer applications
  • Ability to escalate event management in a timely manner
  • Excellent diplomacy, tact and confidentiality
  • Excellent human relations and oral/written communication
  • Interest in obtaining new knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis
  • May involve limited travel to other Hendrick Health campuses approximately 1-4 times per month

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in nursing or associate degree in nursing with a bachelor degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years hospital experience as a registered nurse or other clinical professionals including RRT, LVN, MT/Clinical Laboratory Scientist, PT/OT/ST
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to navigate electronic medical records such as Allscripts and Apollo EMR
  • Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
  • Demonstrated diplomacy and tact
  • Willingness to learn new knowledge and skills continuously

Job Duties

  • Manage risk and safety events using RL Datix event management software
  • Collaborate with leadership teams across Hendrick Health campuses
  • Conduct risk investigative activities as directed by the Director of Risk Management
  • Identify areas requiring risk and safety improvement
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Provide timely escalation of event management issues
  • Support Hendrick Health locations remotely or in-person as needed
