Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field preferred
- Minimum five years of experience in theme park technical or engineering positions
- At least three years’ experience managing vendors
- Strong understanding of show and ride systems technology
- Ability to interpret technical and mathematical diagrams
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage budgets and schedules
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Five or more years’ experience in theme park-specific technical or engineering roles
- Three or more years vendor management experience
- Strong technical knowledge in ride and show systems including audio, special effects, lighting, and control systems
- Ability to interpret complex technical instructions and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to draw valid conclusions
- Experience in schedule analysis and contract management
- Ability to manage complex, multifaceted projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel globally up to 30 percent of the time
Job Duties
- Manages in-field installation, test and adjustment of show and ride systems to ensure compliance with contract specifications
- Works with facility and construction teams and contractors to ensure clear communication regarding installation, testing, and adjustment activities
- Reviews designs and documentation from contractors ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and specifications
- Oversees contractor’s mock-up, prototype, and acceptance testing efforts to ensure systems meet scope of work and contract specifications
- Creates scope of work documentation and awards contracts to vendors based on quantitative requirements
- Leads design and production reviews at vendor locations ensuring product quality, specification conformance, and schedule accuracy
- Develops and oversees project schedules and budgetary demands ensuring alignment with schedule and budget
- Participates actively in environmental, health and safety responsibilities by adhering to established policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
