Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree or 4-year bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 1-3 years of revenue management experience in hotels or related area
  • Proficiency in reservation and forecasting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to work remotely full-time

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, finance and accounting, economics, hotel and restaurant management, or related major with 3 years experience in revenue management in hotels
  • Or 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business administration, finance and accounting, economics, hotel and restaurant management, or related major with 1 year experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions
  • Proficiency with reservation and demand forecasting systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of revenue management principles including RevPAR and RevPAS
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, reservations, and property management
  • Comfortable using computer and software systems for data analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies

Job Duties

  • Manages room authorizations, rates and restrictions
  • Manages function space authorizations, restrictions and rental
  • Manages rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue
  • Maintains transient rooms inventory and maximizes transient revenue
  • Releases group rooms back into general inventory and ensures clean booking windows for customers
  • Ensures hotel sales strategies are effectively implemented in reservation and inventory systems
  • Prepares sales strategy critique
  • Monitors transient and group inventory daily to ensure availability and maximize revenue potential
  • Communicates, implements and modifies sales strategies and rate restrictions as market conditions fluctuate
  • Supports cluster selling initiatives by working with reservation centers
  • Uses reservations and demand forecasting systems to determine and control selling strategies
  • Ensures property diagnostic processes are used to maximize revenue and profits
  • Initiates, implements and evaluates revenue tests
  • Ensures compliance and participation in company promotions and eCommerce channels
  • Ensures all hotels follow brand strategies to maintain or increase revenue per available room and square foot
  • Understands working relationships between sales, reservations and property management systems
  • Participates in quarterly regional reviews
  • Promotes and protects brand equity
  • Achieves and exceeds performance, budget and team goals
  • Attends meetings to plan, organize, prioritize and manage activities and solutions
  • Establishes long-range objectives and specifies strategies to achieve them
  • Demonstrates knowledge of job-related issues, products, systems and processes
  • Understands and meets needs of key stakeholders
  • Explores opportunities to drive profit, create value and encourage innovation
  • Compiles, analyzes and monitors sales data against projections
  • Creates long range and weekly forecasts for rooms and catering segments
  • Conducts sales strategy analysis and adjusts to increase market share
  • Maintains accurate reservation system information
  • Analyzes data to identify trends, future needs and obstacles
  • Generates updates on transient segment
  • Assists with account diagnostics and validates conclusions
  • Provides revenue analysis expertise to general managers and sales leaders
  • Prepares forecasts of revenue, profit, demand, and occupancy
  • Prepares revenue and profit opportunity analysis
  • Manages revenue, profit and demand data
  • Develops or uses analytical tools to maximize revenues and profits
  • Analyzes information to solve problems and choose best solutions
  • Uses computer systems to program, enter data, or process information
  • Generates accurate and timely reports and presentations
  • Develops and manages internal key stakeholder relationships
  • Acts as liaison between property and corporate systems support
