Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • four years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR two-year degree from an accredited university in an applicable field
  • two years of experience in food and beverage or related area
  • strong communication skills

  • knowledge of food and beverage policies and compliance
  • ability to manage team operations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with four years of related experience
  • OR two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with two years of related experience

Job Duties

  • Supervises and manages employees
  • manages all day-to-day operations
  • maintains service and sanitation standards in restaurants, bars, lounges, and room service areas
  • reviews staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives
  • leads, influences, and encourages the food and beverage team
  • builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • identifies developmental needs and coaches or mentors staff
  • ensures compliance with food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures
  • ensures compliance with laws and food handling standards
  • monitors alcohol beverage service compliance
  • provides exceptional customer service and handles guest problems and complaints
  • meets with guests to gather feedback
  • manages service delivery from entry to departure
  • provides guidance and direction to subordinates including performance monitoring
  • develops educational and training programs
  • ensures fair treatment and retention of employees
  • solicits employee feedback and addresses concerns
  • oversees financial aspects including purchasing and invoice payment
  • assists servers and hosts during peak times
  • supervises shifts in the absence of the Assistant Restaurant Manager
