Job Requirements
- College degree or five to ten years in aviation operations preferred
- five or more years in security, law enforcement or similar background required
- good analytical skills and deductive reasoning skills
- relevant experience in loss prevention, compliance, corrective action, fine mitigation, physical surveillance or other security programs
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related security tools
- ability to manage multiple projects or tasks and provide reliable, high-quality results under stressful situations
- comfortable working with highly sensitive and confidential information
- strong communication skills both verbally and in writing
- willingness and ability to travel to all Delta cities served worldwide with expected travel at least 50%
- availability to work off-hours and weekends
- prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
- embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
- at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties
- Develop and drive relationships with federal airport authorities, federal and local law enforcement authorities, US embassy regional security officers and TSA representatives
- conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for TSA compliance failures, operational security events, and loss prevention activities
- continually assess changes that may affect the station's risk classification and make adjustments to mitigate risk as necessary
- conduct and/or assist with internal investigations including assisting with customer/employee misconduct and other security related events
- assist local and regional leadership with loss prevention, compliance, corrective action, fine mitigation, and other security programs
- develop and maintain direct relationships with airport authorities, local/state and federal law enforcement, and regulatory agencies including responding to information requests and providing testimony as required
- serve as a security subject matter expert at airport and government meetings
- coordinate emergency response within area of responsibility
- develop, maintain and report strategies and key metrics for area of responsibility
- practice safety and security conscious behaviors in all job aspects
- additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business and operational needs
