Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry
- Proficiency in managing food product commercialization and scale-up processes
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing techniques and culinary standards
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and maintain brand compliance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel to vendor and restaurant facilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, data-driven mindset
- Self-motivated with critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with service restaurant operations and support needs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year college or university
- Degree in Food Science or related field, culinary experience a plus
- 5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry
- Experience-based knowledge of food manufacturing with an emphasis on commercialized processes for cooked proteins, kettle-cooked sauces and fresh salsas, seasonings, linear and sheeted bakery/tortilla products
- Ability to create technical specifications for process controls, intrinsic and organoleptic properties
- Ability to manage commercialization trials at vendor partners with clear success criteria and reporting
- Knowledge of service restaurants and related support needs
- Project Management training, Servsafe, Culinology certification preferred
- Experience working BOH in restaurants, traveling to vendor facilities and cross-functional collaboration
- Self-starter and data-driven critical thinker with service-focused attitude
- Passion for food, quality, and teamwork
Job Duties
- Manage product development projects from validated concept to successful launch with post-launch support as needed
- Manage the commercialization of new menu innovation and LTO components including review formulations for brand compliance and feasibility
- Design and attend manufacturing trials
- Evaluate samples from benchtop through full production to match culinary gold standards
- Write, review, and edit finished product process specifications
- Support post-launch consistency and optimization efforts
- Support business continuity efforts for raw materials and components
- Manage the commercialization of new LTO vendors supporting network demands
- Teach and taste Chipotle's Food With Integrity mission and Real Food proposition, delivering strategic feedback and support
- Partner with Culinary Chefs to drive innovation sessions including internal showcases and external showings
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Supply Chain, FSQA, Training, and Consumer Insight Teams
- Co-manage Culinary share drive with team
