Job Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum one year experience with special event programming
  • Experience in supervisory roles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work in a high-tempo environment
  • Ability to work a non-traditional work week
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and facility management software
  • American Red Cross CPR Instructor certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • Preferred American Red Cross Lifeguard or Lifeguard Instructor certification

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of one year experience in special event programming
  • Supervisory experience of staff or students
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite and membership/facility management software
  • Preferred experience with aquatics program environment
  • Knowledge of swim meet management software and equipment
  • Ability to work a non-traditional work schedule

Job Duties

  • Coordinate scheduling of recreational facility spaces for campus organizations, student groups, and community organizations
  • Assist fellow SRWS Program Area Managers with scheduling internal program space
  • Create contractual agreements and arrange set-up and tear-down responsibilities
  • Supervise rentals, manage cleaning and payments, and ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Assist in management of daily operations of recreational facility spaces
  • Develop training plans for facility operations staff
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student staff for Aquatics and Informal Recreation Programs
  • Assist in management of Aquatics Programs including swim lessons, marketing, and event evaluation
  • Coordinate with personnel to maintain cleanliness and safety of SRWC and ONAT facilities
