Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license meeting NAA driving record requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three years management and supervisory experience
  • Minimum of four years airport operations experience at a commercial service airport
  • Must meet driving record standards including no recent serious violations
  • Availability to work additional hours during emergencies and adverse weather
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and stooping
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Willingness to comply with all Authority policies and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in airport aviation management, public administration, business administration, or related field
  • Three years of progressively responsible management and supervisory experience
  • Four years of airport operations experience at a commercial service airport
  • Knowledge of FAR Part 139 and FAA regulations
  • Ability to prepare effective reports
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with airport emergency procedures and wildlife hazard management
  • Preferred Airport Certified Employee (A.C.E.) certification
  • Preferred Basic/Advanced Airport Safety and Operations Specialist (ASOS) training

Job Duties

  • Ensure the airport is in compliance with FAR Part 139
  • Maintain the Airport Certification Manual including Emergency and Wildlife Hazard Plans
  • Monitor field conditions and issue NOTAMS
  • Supervise daily operations of the Wildlife Hazard Mitigation Plan
  • Prepare the budget for the Operations Department
  • Conduct regular internal audits of Part 139 self-inspection records
  • Maintain wildlife permits and related documentation
  • Attend construction meetings to coordinate airport operations safety
  • Develop procedures for inspection, maintenance, safety, and security of airport infrastructure
  • Prepare reports for airport management
  • Perform emergency management duties as outlined in the Airport Emergency Plan
  • Coordinate with airport departments and stakeholders
  • Recommend and implement new software and technologies
  • Manage FIS and gate assignments
  • Oversee air carrier diversion plans
  • Lead annual FAR 139 inspections
  • Support airport staff during emergencies
  • Administer Authority personnel and affirmative action policies
  • Monitor airfield pavement, signs, and markings and coordinate repairs
  • Perform vehicle escort in Air Operations Areas
  • Assist in staff training
  • Enforce airport rules and regulations
  • Coordinate snow removal activities with FAA-ATC
  • Assist Deputy Executive Directors and Director of Facilities as needed
  • Perform other assigned duties
