Job Qualifications

- Strong understanding of complex airline operational processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with individuals and teams at all organizational levels
- Aviation Safety Certification, education, or experience preferred
- Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Experience with Ideagen EHSQ platform preferred
- FAA license or certificate for Dispatch, A&P, or Pilot preferred
- Ability to hold Breeze pilot line qualification preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Partner with key stakeholders on the management and improvement of the Flight Operations, Inflight Operations, Airport Operations, and Technical Operations safety performance
- Oversee and manage the proper functioning of the Flight Operations Quality Assurance Program (FOQA)
- Lead cross-divisional and high-severity safety investigations
- Manage the Company Fatigue Risk Management Program (FRMP) and Review Board
- Manage the Breeze Airways Occupational Safety program, including serving as company point of contact with OSHA regulatory agencies, overseeing local station safety committees, and managing employee injury metrics
- Oversee the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Aircraft Drinking Water Program
- Partner with Operating Division leaders to analyze safety performance risks and ensure visibility to mitigation efforts
- Lead and facilitate cross-divisional safety risk assessment (SRA) reviews
- Serve as Party Coordinator during all National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) accident or incident investigations
- Act as an active member of multiple safety boards and meetings including the Flight Operations Standards Board (FOSB), Technical Operations Continuous Analysis Surveillance (CASS) Board, Airport Operations Safety Meeting, and Inflight Operations Safety Meetings
- Develop risk-based tools and techniques to strengthen operational programs, processes, and controls
- Collaborate with the Manager SMS and ASAP to promote the Aviation Safety Action Program
- Attend industry and air carrier meetings on flight safety
- Maintain contact with other air carriers and trade organizations on safety concerns
- Regularly fly the line to remain aware of line related issues
- Manage SMS promotion responsibilities including Safety Bulletins and Newsletters
- Provide regular briefings on safety performance to senior leadership
- Maintain readiness of the NTSB Accident Investigation Team
- Maintain proficiency in accident and incident investigation techniques, photographic documentation, technical skills, human factors education, safety research, and analysis
- Perform all other duties and projects as assigned
