Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Located within commuting distance of a major airport in Southeast US
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Clean driving record
  • Must pass 80% of product certification tests
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Background in electronic locks and access control preferred
  • Experience in multi-family and student housing markets preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business or related field
  • Minimum five years sales experience in access control, software, or related systems
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience in student housing, multi-family, or higher education markets
  • Strong business and technical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience maintaining workload while traveling and working remotely
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Successful history of managing and growing sales revenues
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Prospect new and existing customers in assigned territory
  • Propose and close sales to meet revenue goals
  • Provide sales reports, projections, and documentation
  • Make effective sales calls and grow territory sales
  • Manage regional relationships with accounts, ownership, management companies, and distributors
  • Evaluate customers for growth opportunities and focus sales efforts accordingly
  • Create quarterly and annual action plans based on sales opportunities
  • Support sales and technical training for customers
  • Investigate customer complaints and recommend solutions
  • Maintain proficiency on product and technical knowledge
  • Perform additional duties related to the Sales Department as assigned
