Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum five years of terminal operations, asset management, or data analysis experience
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience managing union labor and contractors
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA compliance
- Experience with planning and scheduling maintenance operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Effective communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding of labor contracts and grievance procedures
- Proficiency with CMMS software
- Willingness to work variable shifts including evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel within the US and Canada and occasionally overseas
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university in related field or equivalent experience
- Five years of experience in terminal operations, data analysis, or asset management
- Strong managerial, supervisory, and team building skills
- Ability to manage conflicting goals and make real-time decisions

- Knowledge of union labor collective bargaining agreements and safety contracts
- Experience using CMMS or other maintenance management systems
- Familiarity with Lean methodology, root cause failure analysis (RCFA), KAIZEN, problem solving, and data analysis
Job Duties
- Manage asset maintenance (AM) contractors and union labor in maintenance operations and equipment
- Ensure timely and efficient planning and completion of all critical preventative and corrective maintenance
- Supervise and enforce OSHA and safety procedures while maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Schedule, assign, and approve all mechanic work hours including overtime
- Create and manage schedules for preventative maintenance to maximize asset life
- Analyze procedures to identify opportunities for asset utilization improvement
- Assist terminal improvement projects involving process changes and planning
- Support disciplinary processes including investigations and training recommendations
- Maintain professional relationships with ILWU labor and manage labor contracts and grievances
- Drive efficient use of CMMS for business management, quality management, and KPIs
- Control work orders ensuring critical maintenance is maintained
- Manage and reduce maintenance and materials costs
- Interface with equipment suppliers to review and develop equipment specifications
- Manage communication and relationships with vendors, operations, and customers
