Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years experience in aircraft maintenance, regulatory compliance, or auditing
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Statistical analysis capability
- Fluent in English
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years progressive experience in aircraft maintenance, regulatory compliance, or auditing
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
- Experience with report writing and technical documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to perform statistical analysis
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Preferably a two- or four-year degree in Aviation Safety or Business field
- Extensive operational experience and professional qualifications in aviation
- Previous knowledge and understanding of Regulatory Compliance
Job Duties
- Oversee company compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
- Perform investigations related to regulatory non-compliance to establish root cause and identify improvement opportunities
- Coordinate and track all regulatory noncompliance including FAA/TSA formal Letter of Investigation and other legal actions
- Act as the company central point of contact for FAA Requests for Information on FAA occurrences
- Conduct research for all RFIs and provide responses to FAA in a timely manner
- Act as liaison between the company and FAA to investigate and correct safety issues for full compliance
- Coordinate with company 119 personnel to coordinate effective and timely responses
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to develop responses to Letters of Investigation, Voluntary Self Disclosures, Compliance Actions, and other regulatory correspondence
- Conduct meetings with leadership for resolution development related to regulatory matters
- Prepare written reports and presentations on investigation findings
- Assign and monitor regulatory corrective actions through tracking management of commitments
- Create and maintain company dashboards on regulatory noncompliance
- Input and provide guidance to the Maintenance Quality Assurance program to develop risk-based auditing
- Interface with company Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System on noncompliance
- Oversee coordination between company and regulatory authorities
- Oversee completion of Root Cause Analysis on noncompliance events
- Document Safety Assurance Guidance in the company SMS
- Generate and present safety data and recommendations to senior management
- Prepare and distribute reports to federal, state, and local safety authorities
- Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on PSA policy and regulatory guidance
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with FAA and other regulatory agencies
- Manage the Company's Security and Safety Management System and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
- Perform other duties as assigned
