Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • associate's degree in hotel, restaurant, or related field preferred
  • must be able to obtain and maintain a non-gaming license at key employee level
  • food handler's certificate required
  • responsible beverage service certification through state of California required
  • 5 or more years of food and beverage experience
  • 2 to 3 years of management or leadership experience
  • ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Manage unit labor hours and scheduling while meeting guest service and business needs
  • plan, organize and distribute workload providing clear direction and support
  • handle hiring, staffing and termination decisions for assigned venue
  • accept accountability for team performance and results, driving to solutions
  • address team member performance and behavior concerns with assistant managers and develop improvement plans
  • ensure supervisors and assistant managers set expectations and support team to meet service standards
  • conduct shift pass-downs of critical information
  • coordinate activities between floor and kitchen staff through effective communication
  • train new team members effectively
  • manage accounting and reconciliation of Point of Sale systems and revenue
  • make timely decisions using relevant information and resources, resolving problems appropriately
  • refine processes for efficiency and adapt to business needs
  • prepare staff for marketing promotions and events
  • communicate guest feedback and ensure appropriate resolution
  • manage budget responsibilities for assigned venue as required
  • attend training and meetings
  • complete documentation accurately and timely
  • recommend policy changes and establish procedures
  • implement service procedures aligning with AAA standards
  • ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • verify that food and beverage products meet established standards and maintain temperature logs
  • maintain clean, safe, organized, and comfortable work environment
  • ensure safe handling and maintenance of service equipment
  • maintain and close POS cash registers at designated times
  • safeguard funds security measures
  • read and respond to email effectively
  • follow department and casino standards to deliver exceptional guest service
