Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of experience in food services or hospitality
  • Minimum five years of experience managing weddings and events
  • Understanding of culinary and hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of retail restaurants, public dining, catering, facility rental, event management services
  • Vendor management experience
  • Contract and budgeting knowledge
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, hospitality, or food services management preferred
  • Minimum five years of successful experience in food services or hospitality industry
  • Minimum five years of experience managing weddings and events
  • Deep understanding and passion for culinary and hospitality industry
  • Proven knowledge of retail restaurants, public dining, catering, facility rental, event management, vendor management, contracts, and budgeting
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet analysis and word processing software

Job Duties

  • Support internal event planners by ensuring smooth building operations through collaboration with internal service teams and third-party food and beverage provider
  • Provide day-of-event on-site execution support for internal and external events
  • Serve as liaison with third-party food and beverage vendor to assure successful integration with museum rental and event operations
  • Foster collaborative working relationships between operator and multiple museum departments
  • Assist with processing internal catering requests efficiently and positively
  • Regularly review internal and external events to maintain excellent customer service and professionalism
  • Ensure facility rental and event operations align with museum mission, especially sustainability and visitor experience
