Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in event programming or related fields
  • Proven track record of booking guests and managing segment production
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency with relevant software tools such as Microsoft Suite and G-Suite
  • Familiarity with virtual event platforms like Zoom and Teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least five years of experience with booking guests and segment production in television, events, or similar formats
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Keynote/PowerPoint, Excel, G-Suite
  • Familiarity with Zoom, Teams, Canva and Splash That
  • Strong understanding of Washington, DC, political and advocacy landscape and relationship management

Job Duties

  • Create content plans for policy briefings, roundtables and summits providing well-researched speaker suggestions and thematic summaries
  • Book guests and/or recruit participants for events on a wide range of topics in the domestic and global policy and advocacy sphere maintaining a rolodex of experts across a wide variety of public and private sectors
  • Work with internal and external partners to meet deadlines and communicate updates in a collaborative environment
  • Conduct preparation calls and draft briefing materials for event moderators and speakers
  • Manage coordination with speaker contacts and ensure alignment with event objectives and timing
  • Produce on-site program and any necessary elements related to the content and promotion of the speakers
  • Write copy for invitations, microsites, summaries of discussion topics, and copy edit others' work related to event content
