Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent education, training, and experience
- 3 years of relevant experience typically gained through skills, knowledge, abilities including management or supervisory roles
- experience working in an organization comparable to Corewell Health
- CRT-Dietary Manager, Certified (CDM) - CBDM Certifying Board for Dietary Managers required for RNC Fuller and RNC Kalamazoo locations within 1.5 years
- ability to comply with State and Federal food service regulations, Joint Commission standards, HACCP principles, and Public Health Department guidelines
- ability to manage and support a diverse team of professional, clinical, and support staff
- willingness to work variable shifts and weekends as needed
- commitment to maintaining a safe, sanitary, and regulatory-compliant food service environment
- physical ability to perform job-related tasks including occasional lifting up to 10 lbs, sitting frequently, standing and walking occasionally

- ability to collaborate with registered dietitians for menu planning
- knowledge of regulatory compliance in food service
- leadership and personnel management skills
- strong organizational and communication abilities
Job Duties
- Provide for the delivery of nutritious and appetizing meals to patients, retail area and catering patrons, and employees by coordinating the preparation of menus
- purchase, store, receive, and inventory all food and supplies
- determine correct methods of preparation to provide nutritional meals
- coordinate meal schedules
- provide meal service in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, the Joint Commission, HACCP, and Public Health Department
- design, implement and maintain policies and procedures concerning food procurement, preparation and service reflecting compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines
- ensure all applicable guidelines are followed to provide quality nutritional services daily and maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment
- collaborate with Registered Dietitians to determine menus including modified diet menus
- manage professional, clinical, and support employees engaged in providing quality nutrition services
- facilitate training and continuing education of employees
- provide direction and support to subordinate employees to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
- select, train, develop, evaluate subordinates and initiate personnel actions according to departmental policies and organization philosophy
