Job Duties

  • Manage all facets of merchandise operation and drive results to ensure optimization and effectiveness of all merchandise locations across the resort
  • Implement strategies and initiatives to ensure target goals are met for merchandise operations
  • Oversee presentation, inventory levels, control, and building maintenance through partnerships with other departments
  • Implement inventory controls to manage retail shrinkage
  • Ensure the optimal visual merchandise setup and store layout for target audience
  • Lead and assist with projects, seasonal initiatives, and sustainment efforts
  • Analyze daily finance flash reports, venue statistics, revenue reports, guest satisfaction and guest comment reports, incident reports, and video to establish strategic plans
  • Work with the revenue operations director to prioritize discretion and capital planning
  • Develop and adhere to labor and non-labor budgets and look for ways to improve overall efficiency of the department
  • Responsible for the hiring decisions and training of staff
  • Lead, coach and mentor assistant managers and supervisors
  • Provide resort-wide duty manager coverage depending on scheduled shift
  • Respond to escalated incidents, downtimes and make proper notifications to senior leadership
  • Participate actively in environmental, health and safety responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
