Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of related event planning experience
- Experience with virtual event production
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Zoom Meeting/Webinar platforms
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Experience managing budgets and negotiating with vendors
- Ability to travel regularly within the U.S.
- Flexible work schedule
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Understanding of event registration systems particularly Cvent
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or at least 5 years of related work experience
- Experience planning social and corporate events as well as understanding of industry events
- Experience with event registration systems and event mobile app platforms, particularly Cvent
- Knowledge and experience with virtual event production
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and Zoom Meeting/Webinar
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to travel within the U.S. and work flexible hours
- Experience managing small to mid-size budgets
- Fundamental knowledge of contractual language pertaining to meetings and events
- Experience negotiating with vendors
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of tools and techniques for adapting to change
Job Duties
- Serving as an event project manager, creating timelines, organizing planning meetings, collaborating with business partners to drive toward deliverables, and keeping partners informed
- Consulting with senior management and colleagues regarding event strategy, objectives and program goals
- Making recommendations to achieve maximum impact for minimal spend
- Collaborating with marketing, communications and product groups to ensure appropriateness of branding, including presentation content
- Designing engaging relevant event experiences that resonate with attending audiences and achieve key business objectives
- Playing an integral role in all agenda content development and working with speakers on logistical items
- Developing success measures and evaluating all major events against objectives, recommending areas for improvement
