Job Requirements
- Associate's degree
- 5 years experience in food service or hospitality industry including 2 years supervisory experience
- valid Texas driver license
- ServSafe certification
- ability to move items up to 25 pounds
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

- ability to train and supervise staff
- ability to manage inventory and procurement
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment

- bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in food service or hospitality industry, including 2 years as supervisor
- culinary arts teaching experience preferred

Job Duties
- Support culinary and pastry lab instruction by managing instructional items and lab maintenance
- oversee setup and breakdown of labs, demonstration stations, and coolers daily
- manage semester inventory of equipment, food, and supplies, creating par orders
- communicate food shortages or substitutions with faculty and organize solutions
- manage food purchases onsite and with vendors
- work quickly and accurately with deliveries
- take weekly inventory of coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- process and store weekly requisition orders for lab classes
- manage college lab assistants and work-study students including hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling
- support faculty by demonstrating and training students on commercial kitchen equipment
- manage repair and maintenance schedules for cooking equipment and refrigeration
- conduct inspections to ensure uniform compliance and sanitation standards
- ensure security of kitchen and dining areas
- instruct students in dining room setup and meal service
- manage budget for lab operations
- assist in researching and obtaining vendor quotes for equipment funding
- conduct recruitment activities and guided tours
- publish menus and coordinate publicity for simulated restaurant
- manage reservations for internal and external dining and events
- support orientation and ongoing training on safety and procedures
- travel to various locations for teaching duties as needed
- perform other assignments as required
