Job Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in inflight training, training standards and compliance, or related area
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • bachelor's degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree
  • demonstrated knowledge of 14CFR Part 121 air carrier operations, approved training programs and inflight operations
  • knowledge of appropriate FAA advisory circulars, applicable regulatory guidance and the flight attendant certification processes
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • must successfully complete Initial New Hire Flight Attendant Training if not already qualified as an AS Flight Attendant and maintain certification as a Flight Attendant
  • ability to hold and maintain AS Inflight Instructor qualifications
  • clear pre-employment DOT testing
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum age of 21
  • authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Lead team and establish priorities for inflight training delivery, instructor calibration, and regulatory compliance
  • execute on strategy for training program implementation and quality assurance with a 6-12 month horizon
  • make decisions related to training operations, instructor qualification, and curriculum execution
  • develop people through performance management, feedback, and professional development
  • shape culture of team through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors
  • influence across inflight and other departments to ensure training alignment and effectiveness
  • collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including FAA and AFA to maintain training standards
  • monitor and report budget for inflight training delivery
