Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years restaurant or retail management experience
  • Experience managing a restaurant with a full bar preferred
  • Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program
  • Skilled with basic mathematical computations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create a fun and exciting environment for guests and team members
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and enforce company policies
  • Valid driver's license
  • Satisfactory background check
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to be on-call 24 hours a day
  • Ability to travel between units

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage staffing, succession planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training and ongoing development of department team members
  • Maintain department training certification through WCT training
  • Develop action or development plans for direct reports as necessary
  • Coordinate hiring decisions with other Department Managers to ensure growth opportunities
  • Create weekly department schedules within budgeted labor guidelines balancing team and business needs
  • Develop and implement incentive programs and contests for the department
  • Provide regular performance feedback and conduct timely performance appraisals
  • Administer semi-annual merit increase process
  • Assist General Manager with coaching managers on effective performance management
  • Utilize World Wide Wings support teams and subject matter experts when needed
  • Communicate regularly with direct reports through departmental meetings
  • Ensure all team members have current state required training and permits
  • Manage the restaurant's Guest Comment program and handle food quality guest complaints
  • Utilize Guest Experience Management program to monitor and improve guest satisfaction
  • Facilitate food product rollouts and ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Communicate with food and alcohol vendors and hold accountable for quality and timeliness
  • Monitor inventory levels and control food, beverage, and labor costs
  • Create and implement sales building incentive contests
  • Oversee operational compliance with food safety and Board of Health standards
  • Conduct administrative management functions such as entering invoices and completing end of day procedures
  • Maintain and monitor department equipment operational status
  • Troubleshoot performance issues using measurement tools and submit action plans
  • Assist General Manager with coaching performance management of Bar, Hospitality and Assistant Managers
  • Complete all other assigned duties and tasks
  • Work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays and be on-call as required
