Job Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for positions requiring driving
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, variable climate environments including indoor kitchen and outdoor areas
  • Must be able to lift and move restaurant equipment as needed
  • Ability to manage irregular hours and be on-call 24 hours
  • Experience working with computer and peripheral devices such as registers, monitors, and credit card machines
  • Ability to handle cleaning and minor maintenance duties such as unclogging toilets or relighting water heaters
  • Must interact effectively with the public

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous management experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to analyze and act on restaurant performance metrics
  • Proficient in inventory management and cost control
  • Capable of working flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Manage staffing, recruiting, hiring, orientation, training and development of department team members
  • Conduct WCT training and maintain department training certification
  • Develop action and development plans for direct reports
  • Coordinate hiring decisions with other Department Managers
  • Create weekly schedules within labor budget guidelines
  • Develop and implement incentive programs and contests
  • Provide regular performance feedback and conduct performance appraisals
  • Administer merit increase processes
  • Coach other managers on performance management
  • Utilize support teams and subject matter experts
  • Communicate effectively through departmental meetings
  • Ensure compliance with state required training and permits
  • Manage guest comment program and handle food quality complaints
  • Utilize Guest Experience Management program to enhance guest satisfaction
