Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program
  • Minimum of 2 years restaurant or retail management experience
  • Experience managing a restaurant with a full bar preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Skilled with basic mathematical computations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and enforce policies

Job Duties

  • Directly responsible for staffing, succession planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training and ongoing development of department team members
  • Responsible for WCT training in the department and maintaining department training certification
  • Develops direct reports by creating action and development plans
  • Coordinates with other department managers on hiring decisions to ensure team growth opportunities
  • Creates weekly department schedules within budgeted labor guidelines
  • Develops and implements incentive programs and contests
  • Provides regular performance feedback including appraisals
  • Administers semi-annual merit increase process
  • Assists General Manager with coaching other managers
  • Provides coaching to ensure service standards and guest experience
  • Holds departmental meetings to communicate successes and procedures
  • Ensures department team members have required training and permits
  • Manages Guest Comment program and handles food quality complaints
  • Facilitates adherence to new food product rollouts and quality standards
  • Communicates with vendors to ensure quality products delivery
  • Analyzes restaurant performance metrics and creates action plans
  • Conducts administrative manager functions including invoicing and inventory
  • Monitors department equipment and reports repairs
  • Operates department in compliance with Board of Health and safety standards
  • Manages bar product ordering, costs, inventory, and sales incentives
  • Assists General Manager with local marketing programs and sales incentives
  • Uses restaurant equipment properly and performs some maintenance tasks
  • Works in a fast-paced environment including indoor and outdoor settings
  • Ability to work irregular hours and be on-call as needed
