Job Requirements

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
  • Working knowledge of hotel management systems and operations
  • Ability to establish staffing guidelines to maximize efficiency and minimize labor costs
  • Broad management and leadership knowledge of front office operations
  • Ability to utilize guest service satisfaction metrics to generate action plans
  • Ability to influence acceptance of hotel operation practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective listening and judgment skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English orally and in writing
  • Technical knowledge of property management systems
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in direction and management of employees in a similar hotel environment
  • Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred
  • Knowledge of AAA or Forbes standards preferred
  • Technical knowledge and experience with learning management systems
  • Experience with HotSOS or other service optimization systems
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting preferred
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Asian languages

Job Duties

  • Provide direction and leadership to the front desk and concierge teams
  • Lead the hotel management team in achieving operational and financial goals
  • Oversee the execution of functional strategy and operational direction of the front desk
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and exceptional guest experience
  • Implement policies, operating procedures, training programs, manuals, directives, work schedules, rules and regulations
  • Manage employee engagement through coaching, training, rewards and development
  • Participate in interviews, candidate selection, training, supervision, counseling and coaching of front desk operations staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned
