Job Description

This position summary is for a Kitchen Manager role within a restaurant environment. The Kitchen Manager holds the critical responsibility of overseeing the entire operations within the kitchen department of the restaurant. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the kitchen area, guaranteeing that all activities align with the established safety regulations and hygiene standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years previous restaurant management experience preferred
  • Valid drivers license
  • Superior people management skills
  • Communication and listening skills
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Passion for the brand and for teaching others
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work a minimum of 50 hours per week
  • Requires ability to sit, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, and verbally communicate
  • Must have good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • An associate degree in hospitality related field or equivalent is preferred
  • NRA ServSafe Food and Alcohol certifications preferred
  • Superior people management skills

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Ability to quickly grasp and retain new ideas and concepts
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

  • Working knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, alcohol safety, safety and security systems and procedures preferred

Job Duties

  • Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand
  • Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders
  • Oversee the food preparation and cooking process
  • Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly inventory assessments
  • Schedule work shifts for employees
  • Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized
  • Maintain weekly and monthly cost reports
  • Perform all duties as assigned
