Job Requirements

  • University degree or advanced degree in related field
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience or minimum 5 years with advanced degree
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • 3+ years experience classifying US Export Regulations (ITAR/EAR)
  • 3+ years experience classifying harmonized systems
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • 3+ years prior experience classifying US Export Regulations (ITAR/EAR)
  • 3+ years prior experience classifying harmonized systems
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Engineering and/or technical background with demonstrated analytical capability
  • Prior experience in aerospace programs or technical environments
  • Familiarity with Collins Aerospace and/or RTX trade compliance processes, including classifications, authorizations, logging, compliant transfer modes, and record keeping
  • experience with Collins-specific Global Trade systems (GTS, SAP, OCR, MKDenial, xClass, TEXPORT) strongly preferred
  • Experience interpreting and applying non-U.S. export and import regulations

Job Duties

  • Working under/within the following U.S. regulations
  • Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR)
  • Perform most sophisticated JC classification analysis, determination, and validation (resolution of JC escalation, supplier issues, etc.)
  • Perform HTS (HS) classifications
  • Support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures, root cause of escapes and implement corrective actions
  • Analyze business needs (including technology needs) with respect to export authorization requirements
  • Support Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) to government agencies
  • Support development and delivery of formal and informal JC and HTS Focal training and classification auditing
  • Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time
