Job Requirements

  • Hospitality degree preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • 1-2 years restaurant management experience
  • ServSafe Food and Alcohol Certification required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of allergy procedures
  • Must obtain ServSafe and CPR certification within 60 days
  • Guest Relations and Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation Prevention Training required
  • Familiarity with Legal Sea Foods menus
  • Familiarity with POS and Reservations systems
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Satisfactory background check including criminal history
  • Capable of standing more than 90 percent of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist motion and mobility tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Familiar with Legal Sea Foods POS and Reservations systems

Job Duties

  • Oversee Front of House departments such as Beverage, Training, Host/Takeout, or Server/Runner-Busser
  • Manage hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of assigned departments
  • Act in the absence of General Manager or Assistant General Manager to oversee FOH departments
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in managing labor costs and resolving operational issues
  • Assign, instruct, review, and approve work of FOH Supervisors and team members
  • Develop and mentor FOH Supervisors and team members within assigned departments
  • Determine appropriate staffing levels and manage breaks and shift cuts
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring FOH Supervisors and team members
  • Complete and assist with performance appraisals
  • Handle discipline and performance management
  • Authorize and assign overtime
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Sanitation, Allergy, Responsible Alcohol Service, OSHA policies, and Team Member Handbook
  • Address guest complaints promptly and professionally
  • Utilize company business systems such as POS, HRIS, Hiring, Scheduling, Reservations, Inventory, and Labor Management Systems
  • Represent the company in handling complaints, disputes, and grievances
