Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Five years’ relevant experience preferred
  • One year’s leadership experience preferred
  • SERV Safe certification or equivalent preferred
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred

Job Duties

  • Manages daily operation of the kitchen and storeroom effectively and efficiently by assisting staff, patients, and visitors
  • Maintains organization of workflow throughout the departments
  • Creates an environment that upholds employee morale
  • Solicits customer feedback, evaluates it, and takes appropriate action
  • Takes effective action to maintain food and supply budget within financial guidelines
  • Prepares documentation to comply with department policies, regulatory agencies, etc. by working with other hospital personnel or corrective actions
  • Conducts performance appraisals and documentation regarding personnel issues
