Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- bachelor's degree preferred
- four years relevant experience required
- two years relevant leadership experience required
- must be able to accommodate flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays
- good oral and written communication skills
- Allegheny County Health Department or other certified food protection manager certification required within six months of hire
- ANAB - National Accreditation Board or Servsafe certified
- Act 34 clearance

- two years of relevant leadership experience

- successful completion of approved hospital mechanisms for competency assurance
Job Duties
- Plan and implement programs and activities to meet the needs of patients and customers in accordance with budgetary expectations and quality assurance standards
- maintain electronic food and nutrition services tools and ensure accuracy
- supervise recruitment, hiring, and training of workforce and assure competency of personnel
- manage and control resources and materials to ensure quality and adequacy of supply
- perform annual customer service training for all front and back of house associates
- plan, control and monitor budget standards and expenses including man-hour utilization
- direct daily food service operations compliance with HACCP and regulatory requirements
- mentor students
- manage and maintain food service systems to provide high quality and satisfaction outcomes
- implement and maintain tools to perform operational analysis to achieve successful outcomes
- provide daily huddles and regular in-service and education opportunities for food and nutrition staff
