Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of leadership experience
- Bachelor's or associate degree in nutrition, dietetics, culinary or related field or three years of equivalent combination of education and foodservice-related experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree
- Certified dietary manager (CDM) or registered dietitian or certification to be obtained within 24 months of hire unless otherwise required by state or local health code
- Current certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager and ServSafe Allergen Certifications with certification obtained within 60 days of hire unless otherwise required by state or local health code
- Physical ability to exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, up to 20lbs frequently, and up to 10lbs constantly

Job Duties
- Directs all patient interactive positions such as dietitians and diet clerks and provides for operational needs
- Maintains regulatory compliance including TJC, CMS, state-specific department of health, and infection control practices
- Maintains communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding service levels and promotes patient satisfaction
- Maintains adequate staffing for daily needs reflecting cost efficiency and assigns staff and workload
- Recruits, hires and manages performance of staff
- Collaborates in menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services and assists with managing facility diet manual
- Participates in hospital committees such as MEC, Quality, and P&T committees
- Conducts frequent patient rounding and visitations
- Conducts job shadowing audits and provides coaching if service standards are not met
- Performs other duties as assigned by leader
