Job Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Must maintain Dietetic licensure in the state of Texas
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field
  • Five to eight years management experience in institutional or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations clinical nutrition standards cash handling and budget management
  • Good leadership business management problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field
  • Five to eight years of management experience in institutional or healthcare setting
  • Good leadership business management problem solving and organizational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and service delivery standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to details
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations clinical nutrition standards cash handling and budget management
  • Registered Dietitian experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage food procurement production and preparation for the Food Court patient room service and clinical nutrition operations including formula room
  • Oversee daily operations of all food and clinical nutrition service areas ensuring high quality food and beverage delivery in a sanitary and pleasant environment
  • Plan develop organize and implement policies procedures and quality improvement activities for the food service department
  • Coordinate with other hospital departments to optimize food and clinical nutrition service integration
  • Assist administration in achieving organizational goals customer service quality improvement and departmental performance
  • Maintain highest standards of professional performance ethics and compliance with Cook Children’s Health Care System standards
  • Lead budgeting inventory management food and supply ordering and cash handling practices
