Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of leadership experience
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification required
  • State of California Food Handler Permit required within 30 days of start date
  • ServSafe Food Allergen certification required within 60 days of start date
  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or Certified Dietary Manager with Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals required within 24 months of start date

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Culinary or related field preferred
  • Three years of equivalent education and foodservice experience in lieu of degree

Job Duties

  • Direct all patient interactive positions such as dietitians and diet clerks
  • Provide for the operational needs of food nutrition services staff
  • Maintain communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding service levels
  • Promote patient satisfaction and relay feedback to management
  • Collaborate in menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services
  • Assist with managing the facility diet manual and ensure compliance with nutritional standards
  • Recruit, hire and manage staff performance
  • Ensure adequate staffing and cost efficiency
  • Conduct patient rounding, visitations, and job shadowing audits
  • Assess efficacy of training programs
