Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three years of foodservice management or supervisory experience in a hospital or related setting
  • Food Manager Certification required within 90 days of employment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical activities including standing and walking for two to three hours
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Must comply with hospital guidelines and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three years of foodservice management or supervisory experience in a hospital or related high-volume food production operation
  • Food Manager Certification from a Florida Department of Health-approved provider required within 90 days of job entry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate
  • Ability to perform continuous physical activity including standing and walking
  • Strong interpersonal skills aligned with organizational culture and values

Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations of assigned service areas
  • Ensure highest possible customer satisfaction and employee engagement
  • Administer employee performance evaluations, payroll, and ongoing education
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency requirements related to physical and food safety
  • Lead work teams to maintain or enhance patient and customer experience
  • Promote teamwork within and outside the department
  • Manage resources including staffing, supplies, and revenue
  • Coach and counsel employees and evaluate performance
  • Serve as a leader and mentor for department and organization
