Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- 3 years supervision experience
- food handler certification - ServSafe obtained within 180 days
- ability to travel up to 20 percent
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency in diet office software and nutrition care technology
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- bachelor's degree in dietetics, restaurant, hospitality, culinary or related field preferred
- 5 years healthcare food service, dietetics, restaurant/hospitality or related experience preferred
- 3 years supervision required
- food handler certification - ServSafe to be obtained within 180 days
Job Duties
- Supervises assigned staff within the department and manages performance through coaching and feedback
- assists in developing and planning menus and meal services for areas including Meals on Wheels, daycares, and co-ops
- acts for Director in their absence and debriefs Director
- assists with development and management of departmental budgets, including budget allocations and expenditure approvals
- assists in orientation and training of new employees
- makes decisions for direct reports including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews
- serves as administrator for diet office software and other departmental technologies
