Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Current Food Service Manager Certification required
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience
  • 2-5 years of leadership or management experience

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership to food and dining services team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives
  • Develop, communicate, and build consensus for goals in alignment with the health system
  • Plan, organize and manage staff and activities of the Food and Nutrition department including food production
  • Develop, manage and evaluate direct reports
  • Perform daily quality control audits
  • Ensure compliance with departmental sanitation and safety standards
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries courteously, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Coordinate department staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate shift and skill coverage
  • Review timesheets and maintain records
  • Ensure adequate operating supplies and calibrated equipment
  • Requisition supplies as needed
  • Record food count and leftovers daily
  • Monitor and compile operating expenses
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and tracking for salary, operations, and capital equipment
  • Maintain department administrative and compliance records
  • Perform related duties as required
