Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • three to five years related experience in hospitality preferred
  • one to three years experience supervising managers or in a supervisory role required
  • current Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification required
  • must meet state and federal minimum age requirements for serving alcohol
  • computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • knowledge of restaurant database software a plus
  • knowledgeable about county regulations
  • ability to understand and implement BSRG dining standards
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret food service industry periodicals
  • ability to understand standardized recipe format
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively before groups
  • ability to calculate food costs, menu pricing, labor standards, and inventory
  • must understand profit and loss statements and be able to present capital projects
  • must possess computational skills and budgetary analysis
  • must have planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, and employee development skills
  • must have excellent written and verbal communication
  • must consistently achieve high work standards
  • must demonstrate initiative and sound independent judgment
  • must work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

  • valid driver’s license required

Job Duties

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals
  • support the Director in providing strategic intelligence for all Food & Beverage initiatives including vision, planning, capital expansion, branding, menu and restaurant design, and new F&B experiences
  • ensure superior standards of food service and quality to meet or exceed guest and employee expectations
  • maintain effective communication among team members about operations, safety, and employee concerns
  • hire, train, supervise F&B staff, create schedules, and coach team members
  • recognize and celebrate team successes
  • manage cost of goods, labor, and general expenses for F&B operations
  • establish and manage purchase orders, checkbooks, contribution reports, and budgets
  • coordinate with Club Manager to create budgets and goals for sales, revenue, projects, and business development
  • execute budgets daily, monthly, and annually
  • create operational reports as requested
  • oversee all F&B functions including corporate parties and weddings
  • maintain BSRG standards of excellence and stay informed on new products and market trends
  • attend culinary exhibitions, buying shows, and seminars as required
  • perform other assigned duties as necessary
