Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year leadership experience in food and beverage
  • Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Experience driving business, revenue, cost control, guest satisfaction and employee engagement
  • Demonstrated leadership to achieve or exceed goals
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Familiarity with hospitality software such as Microsoft Office Suite, payroll systems and POS
  • Successful criminal background check and drug screen
  • Proficiency in food safety and sanitation practices

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1+ years leadership experience in food and beverage
  • Experience in driving business, revenue, cost control, guest satisfaction and employee engagement
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Familiarity with desktop and hospitality software including Microsoft Office Suite, payroll systems and POS
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening
  • Highly proficient with food safety and sanitation practices
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred
  • 2 years in a similar role preferred
  • Manager-level certification from nationally accredited food safety and alcohol awareness training programs preferred
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Prior management experience in hotel or resort industry preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and experience developing safe work environments

Job Duties

  • Oversee and take ownership of the daily functions of the lodge restaurant and bar, quick service and daily functions of the lodge banquet operations per brand guidelines
  • Assist F&B leadership in achieving operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans and reviews
  • Participate in hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and counseling of Pack Members
  • Ensure compliance with Pack Member participation training courses in Great Wolf University
  • Support frontline staff in anticipating and attending to guests needs to ensure maximum satisfaction
  • Partner with other F&B Leaders to supervise the preparation, presentation and timeliness of all foods and beverages
  • Assist in guest-facing roles during peak times in restaurants, bars, quick-service outlets and banquets
  • Collaborate with Culinary and Purchasing Teams on storeroom, cooler and freezer organization to maintain par levels and health code compliance
  • Assist in controlling cost of goods sold through review of portion control and preparation quantities
  • Ensure all F&B areas adhere to food handling, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Work with other F&B Leaders and HR to ensure scheduling and payroll activities are accurate
  • Monitor equipment operation, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies and call for repairs as necessary
  • Participate in weekly and monthly inventory procedures to maintain cost control and pars
  • Conduct department pre-shift meetings and service audits to ensure guest satisfaction scores and company standards
  • Ensure compliance with all scheduled and non-scheduled safety inspections
