Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year leadership experience in food and beverage
  • Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Experience driving business, revenue, and cost control
  • Demonstrated team leadership and goal achievement
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, payroll systems, POS
  • Successful criminal background check and drug screen
  • Food safety and sanitation expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role preferred
  • Certification in food safety management preferred
  • Certification in alcohol awareness and safety preferred
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Kitchen and bar equipment maintenance experience preferred
  • Prior hotel or resort management experience preferred
  • Strong analytical business skills
  • Experience implementing compliance safety plans
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and twist
  • Ability to stand for long periods

  • Ability to drive revenue, control costs, and enhance guest satisfaction
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and counseling staff
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business or related field preferred
  • Manager-level certification in food safety and alcohol safety training preferred
  • Prior management experience in hotel or resort industry desirable
  • Hands-on experience with kitchen and bar equipment maintenance desired
  • Strong analytical skills for business indicators
  • Experience implementing workplace safety plans required

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of lodge restaurants, bars, quick service, and banquet functions to meet monthly KPI goals
  • Assist F&B leadership in achieving operational objectives by contributing to strategic planning, action plans, and implementing quality and service standards
  • Hire, train, schedule, coach, and counsel team members while enforcing company policies
  • Ensure compliance with participation in training courses provided by Great Wolf University
  • Support frontline staff to maximize guest satisfaction
  • Partner with culinary and purchasing teams to maintain inventory, storeroom organization, and adherence to health codes
  • Monitor and assist in food and beverage preparation ensuring standards for quality, flavor, speed, and service are met
  • Aid in peak demand times by stepping into guest-facing roles as needed
  • Review cost control measures including portion control and waste minimization
  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards consistently
  • Collaborate with HR on scheduling and payroll
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and call for repairs
  • Participate in inventory procedures ensuring budget compliance
  • Conduct department pre-shift meetings and service audits
  • Ensure compliance with safety inspections and standards
