Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Three to five years related hospitality experience preferred
  • One to three years experience supervising a team or in managerial role required
  • Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification
  • Must meet state and federal minimum age for serving alcohol
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of restaurant database software a plus
  • Understanding of county food service regulations
  • Ability to uphold BlueStar dining standards
  • Ability to read industry specific materials
  • Ability to write reports
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Proficiency in calculating food costs and budgets
  • Basic math and budget analysis skills
  • Skills in planning and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Flexibility for evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals
  • Support the Director in strategic planning for Food & Beverage initiatives including business planning and branding
  • Ensure superior standards of food service and quality are met or exceeded
  • Maintain effective communication within the Food & Beverage team regarding operations and safety
  • Hire, train, and supervise Food & Beverage staff, and create schedules
  • Manage cost of goods, labor, and general expenses of Food & Beverage operations
  • Establish and manage budgets, purchase orders, and contribution reports
  • Coordinate with Club Manager on budget creation and performance goals
  • Oversee all Food & Beverage functions including corporate parties and weddings
  • Stay informed of market trends and participate in culinary exhibitions and seminars
  • Other duties as assigned
