Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public relations, communications, business administration or related field
- Minimum 5 years of legislative, community relations, government or external affairs experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact and influence all levels of organization and community
- Commitment to consistent attendance
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public relations, communications, business administration or related field
- 5+ years of experience in legislative, community relations, government or external affairs
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization and community
- Knowledge of government and regulatory environments related to tourism and business
- Experience in managing volunteer and community engagement programs
- Skilled in research, briefing and stakeholder communication
Job Duties
- Manage Universal Kids Resort’s team member engagement programs including volunteer program and matching gifts program
- Partner with non-profit organizations to identify volunteer opportunities and measure community impact
- Oversee charitable giving programs including request management and donation fulfillment
- Research, track and provide updates on local ordinances and state legislation
- Draft briefing papers on issues impacting tourism, transportation, and business regulation
- Serve as primary contact for UKR external communications and escalate communications issues as needed
- Support crisis planning and response efforts in coordination with corporate communications
- Manage business and industry association relationships including board membership and sponsorship
- Represent UKR at community and non-profit events
- Monitor government meetings and coordinate meetings between elected officials and internal experts
- Manage political giving and ensure compliance with government and company policies
- Participate in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
