Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public relations, communications, business administration or related field
- Five plus years of legislative, community relations, government or external affairs experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization, community organizations and elected officials
- Consistent attendance

Job Duties
- Manage Universal Kids Resort’s team member engagement programs including volunteer program and matching gifts program
- Partner with non-profit organizations to identify volunteer opportunities and measure community impact
- Oversee charitable giving programs and manage donation fulfillment and Compassion Program
- Research, track and provide updates on local ordinances and state legislation
- Draft briefing papers on tourism, transportation, and business regulation issues
- Serve as primary contact for external communications and support crisis planning and response
- Manage business and industry association relationships including board membership, sponsorship, and issues management
- Monitor government agendas and meetings impacting tourism, transportation, and business regulation
- Coordinate meetings between elected officials and subject matter experts
- Manage political giving ensuring compliance with government laws and corporate policies
- Participate actively in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
