Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Culinary Arts required
- Masters degree preferred
- Chefs hired without a degree have 5 years to complete a Bachelors degree
- Knowledge of dietetics required
- Previous supervision of 12 or more staff members
- At least three years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience preferred
- Food Safety Manager Certification required within 90 days of job entry

Job Duties
- Provide high-quality, well-balanced, cost-effective meals
- Supervise daily operations of food production and service throughout the hospital
- Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, HACCP standards, and local, state, and federal laws
- Motivate and maintain an engaged culinary team of 12 or more staff members
- Represent Baptist Health South Florida at community, marketing, and public relations events
- Oversee adherence to food safety protocols including obtaining Food Safety Manager Certification
- Manage meal planning in accordance with dietetic principles and patient nutritional needs
