Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Culinary Arts required
- Masters degree preferred
- Chefs hired without a degree have 5 years to complete a Bachelor degree
- Knowledge of dietetics required
- Previous supervision of 12 or more staff members required
- At least three years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience preferred
- Hospital, healthcare, or catering experience a plus
- Food Safety Manager Certification required within 90 days of job entry

Job Duties
- Provide high-quality, well-balanced, and cost-effective meals
- Supervise daily operations of food production and service throughout the hospital
- Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, HACCP standards, AHCA, and all applicable laws
- Motivate and lead a team of 12 or more culinary staff members
- Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare professionals to meet patient dietary needs
- Maintain food safety standards and obtain Food Safety Manager Certification within the required timeframe
- Represent Baptist Health South Florida at community, marketing, and public relations events
