Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of business and management principles
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement and evaluate department operations
  • Ability to establish department goals and objectives supporting strategic plan
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and supervise work of others
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others

Job Duties

  • Manages development and alumni relations related events
  • Creates timelines, checklists, budgets, staffing and logistics for each event
  • Develops clear strategies, budgets and objectives for each event
  • Enhances invitation database lists, reports and event printed materials
  • Negotiates and coordinates with external vendors for goods and services
  • Manages special committees for events including goal setting and facilitation
  • Oversees and trains event staff
  • Designs event sequences and programs
  • Creates and manages event budgets and expenses
  • Performs other duties as assigned
