Job Requirements

  • minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • knowledge of business and management principles
  • ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations
  • ability to establish department goals and objectives
  • ability to effectively plan, delegate, and supervise
  • ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others

Job Duties

  • Manage and support development and alumni relations related events
  • create timelines, checklists, budgets, staffing, and logistics for each event
  • direct the timeline of activities from inception to completion
  • develop strategies, budgets, and objectives for each event
  • develop and enhance invitation database lists and reports
  • work closely with and negotiate with external vendors
  • manage relationships and bidding processes with vendors
  • manage special committees for events including goal-setting and facilitation
  • oversee and train event staff
  • design and develop event programs
  • create, manage, and reconcile event budgets
  • ensure expenditures do not exceed budget
  • perform other duties as assigned
