Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- five years of events related experience
- ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
- ability to work with a wide range of clientele from student groups to professional event planners
- ability to manage teams of employees in event execution
- ability to work nights for an evening based position
- must be able to lift, move, carry heavy objects
- available to work Monday through Friday 1:00pm to 10:00pm and weekends and mornings as needed with special events

- two years of event coordinating experience preferred
- three years of customer service preferred
Job Duties
- Provide leadership and customer support in planning and execution of UCEN event facilities
- serve as point of contact for meetings, events, training sessions, conferences, and special events
- meet with clients and facility contacts to schedule space, equipment, and staff
- complete required paperwork and arrange for rental equipment
- work with clients from event conception to execution ensuring all event needs are understood
- design event diagrams or CAD drawings to meet client expectations
- communicate with sponsors and sponsoring agencies on event details including dates, space, and university regulations
- manage and maintain facility and event calendars for multiple campus venues and distribute to constituencies
- represent the unit on university committees and task forces
- oversee staff responsible for delivery, setup, execution, and removal of event equipment
- provide training and feedback to staff
- develop and maintain training curriculum and manuals
- coordinate new student employee training
- assist with concessions, expressive activity events, and risk review
- perform other duties as assigned
