Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of events related experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to work with a wide range of clientele from student groups to professional event planners
  • Ability to manage teams of employees in event execution
  • Ability to work evenings as this is an evening based position
  • Must be able to lift, move, carry heavy objects
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday 1:00pm to 10:00pm and weekends or mornings as needed with special events

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of events related experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to work with a wide range of clientele from student groups to professional event planners
  • Ability to manage teams of employees in event execution
  • Ability to work evenings as this is an evening based position
  • Preferred two years of event coordinating experience
  • Preferred three years of customer service experience

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership and customer support in planning and executing UCEN event facilities
  • Coordinate with clients throughout the event planning process from conception to execution
  • Schedule space, equipment, and staffing for events, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Design event diagrams or CAD drawings to meet client expectations
  • Manage communications with sponsors and sponsoring agencies regarding event planning details
  • Maintain and distribute facility and event calendars for multiple university venues
  • Oversee and train staff responsible for event setup, execution, and equipment removal
  • Develop and maintain training materials and conduct training sessions for new employees
  • Assist with concessions, expressive activity events, and risk review processes
  • Serve as representative for Event Services Associate Director in their absence
  • Perform other duties as assigned
