Job Requirements
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have 5+ years of relevant sales or event management experience
- Must demonstrate creative and resourceful problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects effectively
- Capacity to evaluate risks and liabilities of venue rentals and events
- Availability for occasional travel up to 10%
- Ability to respond promptly to time-sensitive communications with senior executives
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a high-volume sales or event management role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in fast-paced environments adaptable to daily changes
- Understanding of risk and liability evaluation for special events
- Proven track record in sales strategy development and execution
Job Duties
- Develop annual sales and marketing plans to maximize financial performance for private and special events at KC Current Stadium
- Build market awareness and drive leads through strategic sales campaigns
- Partner with leadership and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop cross promotional programs
- Oversee the successful execution of high-profile and large-scale events, including reviewing sales contracts and payment terms
- Ensure successful transition of event logistics and communication to Event Operations team
- Update pricing models, refine packages, rate cards, and adjust revenue projections
- Daily revenue tracking, campaign management, and regular communication of sales performance
- Maintain open communications with third party food and beverage operator and Stadium operations team
- Organize documents for RFPs and assist with bid requirements with local sports commission and tourism partners
- Establish standard operating procedures for Event Sales department including budget, forecasting, contract process, and invoicing
- Manage monthly and annual event calendar in conjunction with Stadium Operations staff
- Other duties as assigned
