Job Requirements

  • must have 5+ years of related experience preferably in a high-volume sales or event management role
  • ability to proactively prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously within time constraints and with strong attention to detail
  • creative and resourceful with excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with adaptability to change
  • ability to evaluate risks and liabilities of special events and venue rentals
  • ability to work both traditional and non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays
  • ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives
  • travel may be required up to 10% of the time

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Develop annual sales and marketing plans to maximize financial performance for private and special events at KC Current Stadium
  • build market awareness and drive leads through strategic sales campaigns
  • partner with leadership and internal stakeholders to develop cross-promotional programs
  • oversee successful execution of high-profile and large-scale events including sales contracts, payment terms, and special considerations
  • ensure successful transition of event logistics and communication to event operations team
  • update pricing models, refine packages, rate cards, and revenue projections
  • manage daily revenue tracking, campaign management, and sales performance communication
  • maintain effective relationships with third-party food and beverage operator and stadium operations team
  • organize documents for RFPs and assist with bid requirements in conjunction with local sports commission and tourism partners
  • establish standard operating procedures for event sales including budgeting, forecasting, contract process, and invoicing
  • manage monthly and annual event calendar in coordination with stadium operations staff
  • perform other duties as assigned
